I'm reading Party of One. It suits me. Somewhat too well it may seem. It's called the loner's manifesto. Those first pages describing a cottage somewhere along the beach, where the nearest neighbor lives over 2 miles away, and you can easily avoid human contact for days, is not for me. I do prefer that sor tof bustling around in a city where there's the feeling of being apart in a crowd. Granted, I would still like my own space- an apartment of sorts- that I can retreat to and just be alone. Besides, where there's a city, there must be a countryside to go along with it. At least, I deem it so.
